We believe in the power of social impact and small business to change the world!
Founders & business owners are natural inventors and problem solvers!
Some of the best minds of our time are entrepreneurs - they’re the ones that see a vision that everyone else cannot see yet, they’re courageous and challenge limits & they’re typically exceptional problem solvers.
Leave a bunch of problem solvers and visionaries to their own devices, and bit by bit communities get new opportunities, new solutions and new innovations. Especially when those problem solvers come from diverse backgrounds, offering fresh and new perspectives.
But entrepreneurs and innovators only function in that way when they’re tuned into their genius zone, which means they’re grounded, they’re clear and they’re aligned. When they’re operating from that space, they’re a force to be reckoned with.
BUT whilst almost all founders START here, very few stay here.
Based on current stats, due to the pressures of business, 72% of entrepreneurs in the US will experience mental health challenges like burnout, depression and anxiety and the numbers in Australia are not that different.
A few years into any business and most entrepreneurs have lost that connection to creativity, to vision and to optimism, that once defined them.
So our mission is to help Founders find their spark again.
To reconnect to their genius zone and to clear the cobwebs that are holding them back from doing what they do best - driving change and growth in their businesses; because when they do that, that drives growth and change into our communities!
Those barriers deter so many brilliant minds and courageous souls from creating impact at scale.
But here’s what happens when they’re supported:
they begin to feel worthy and a sense of belonging amongst other Founders;
they begin to access new networks and insights and in turn bring fresh ideas to these spaces;
they learn how to ground themselves and
very quickly, they become a flame of hope for other visionaries in their communities - because representation matters.
When we see someone who looks, sounds and acts like us doing the things we dream of, we suddenly understand on a subconscious level - we can do it too.
To honour this mission, we offer our programs at cost price to social enterprises, charities & businesses that are directing their profits into creating programs or solutions that directly benefit our planet or communities.
We also offer scholarships to support Founders from diverse or marginalised backgrounds.
Individuals from diverse backgrounds typically face more barriers to entry when it comes to business success than non-diverse populations; they often:
have less access to mentors or examples of people doing what they want to do in their own communities;
face biases and stigma and
carry the weight of trauma and imposter syndrome on their capable shoulders.
We honour this mission by directing 50% of EM’s profits into these scholarships, which basically means that for every workshop or program purchased you’re directly investing into a Founder from a marginalised background, so that they can BE the change we need to see in this world.
