Raised $8525 to Support Kids in Crisis

To every one of you who have supported us, booked one of our workshops, joined our mastermind or worked with us (or our team) over the last 24 months…

Congratulations, you have directly impacted the lives of:

170 vulnerable Australian kids!

Over the last 2 years, we've donated proceeds from every sale to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation to support children and young people who have experienced violence or trauma.

Consistency pays off and when we just ran our end of year tally, we realised that collectively we’ve raised $8525 for this amazing organisation!

Did you know that every year, around 13,000 children and young people across Australia are taken into the care of child protection authorities because they are at serious risk of harm or have no other safe place to live?

A&MF advocates for these children and provides trauma-informed programs to help them recover, heal, and grow.

We thought you might want to know that your funds have gone directly to A&MF’s Buddy Bag initiative.

Buddy Bags are backpacks thoughtfully packed for vulnerable children across Australia experiencing crisis and often forced to flee their homes.

The Buddy Bag backpacks include:

  • new pyjamas, socks and underwear, so they can dress in clean clothes

  •  toothbrush, toothpaste, face washer and hairbrush to attend to their personal care needs

  • a book to relax the mind

  • a trauma-informed toy for healing play

  • & an all-important teddy bear to cuddle for emotional comfort

A Buddy Bag is something tangible a child or young person can call their own, at a time when they often feel most alone.

It also shows them they are special, that people care for them, and that they matter.

When you consider that once upon a time, children in emergency care would have their belongings (if they were lucky enough to take any belongings with them) transported in a garbage bag, this powerful yet small act of kindness gives these kids back a sense of dignity and humanity.

So to every one of you who has invested into themselves and trusted us with your journey, thank you for co-creating this reality with us and being part of this incredibly generous and caring EM community.

Big love & gratitude,

Zoi & Sophia & the EM team
